Reality of a Senior

A few years ago I couldn’t wait to be a senior! I felt like it was supposed to be one of the best years. I always thought senior year would be like the movies. It would be happy and fun, but I can assure you that senior year is nothing like High School Musical. 

This fall I have been applying to colleges all over the country. The fall of senior year has hit me all of the sudden and in this moment I wish you could go back and be a kid.  Applying to college has made me realize that I will soon be on my own, so I am trying to enjoy every moment of every day. 

To all the Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors here is my advice to you:

• Even on your worst days try to find one thing to enjoy and remember.

• Live a little and do something you wouldn’t normally do. 

• Hang out with your friends but also your family as much as you can 

• Most importantly take a breath and have fun because it will fly by!
