I competed with Madison at the Miss Maine pageant this year! She was such a sweet kind girl who really stood out to me. She is such a strong beautiful young lady and I knew I had to feature her on my blog!
What is something you advocate for?
A major thing I advocate for is education and awareness about type one diabetes and the lifelong physical and emotional effects it has on people, especially kids.
Why are you so passionate about it?
I am very passionate about advocating for education and awareness about type one diabetes because as someone who has had type one diabetes for 4 years, I have had to learn to advocate for myself in many different environments starting at a young age when I was first diagnosed.
What is a piece of advice you would give to someone who is going through the same situation as you?
It's important to understand that a lot of people will never fully comprehend the emotional and physical obstacles you face but all the hard work you put into yourself is greatly paid off.
What made you wanna start competing in pageants?
I honestly first started to want to compete in pageants because I love the dresses, the makeup, and all of the beauty of it. But along the way I have made amazing friends and I now compete because it gives me a platform to have a greater positive impact in other people's lives.
